This assembly is a BELL 103/202 compatible modem that provides for FSK communications on 2 or 4-wire communication circuits.
This DCE device transforms the RS-232 signals from the attached DTE (typically a computer, IOC, or RTU) into standardized FSK tones for long distance communications. The unit operates in the half-duplex mode which permits many of these modems to share a common communications cable.
